An old woman puts two packets of noodles on the counter. The barcode reader scans and the price is 800won. She gives everything she had in her hand to the sales girl. "Its 300 won short", says the girl. Woman is embarrassed but she had no more to offer. She pleadingly asks if she can check her history points to cover the cost. Sales girl misunderstands and starts explaining at length on why she can't take two packets of noodles on that price. At that moment she completely fails to understand that the those two packets were her real need. My heart broke when the old woman gave up on one. For once I wished for some discount for hunger.
